With each folktale, I added the picture of the front cover of each book and/or pictures from inside the text to show
the colors and illustrations that may enhance the Latino folktale. By viewing the colors used and the type of illustrations,
the reader can get a real sense of this culture.
Another feature I added to each folktale are comments from my middle school students on what they thought of each
folktale. I read 25 folktales to several different classes and they responded on whether or not they liked the folktale,
if they liked the illustrations, if they heard of any of these folktales, and if any represented their culture.
